Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development (CIPD)
Why should we attend the "Growing Gloucestershire" conference? Here is what the Chartered Institute of Personnel & Development (CIPD) think.
The view of the CIPD is that Continuing Professional Development or CPD requires a combination of approaches, ideas and techniques that will help members manage their own learning and growth.
The focus of CPD is firmly on results – the benefits that professional development can bring members in the "real world". Perhaps the most important message is that one approach does not fit everyone.
Wherever you are in your career now, and whatever you want to achieve, your CPD should be exactly that - yours.
Chartered Institute of Marketing (CIM)
How you can earn from local, world class businesses. Chartered Institute of Marketing members have benefited from attending previous annual Gloucestershire Professional joint conferences at the University of Gloucestershire by learning from award winning companies' case studies who are achieving outstanding marketing results which they are then applying to their own businesses.
Chartered Institute of Management (CMI)
The Chartered Management Institute, the only chartered professional body that is dedicated to management and leadership, has demonstrated its support for Continuing Professional Development (CPD) with the creation of a new online, interactive CPD system.
The Institute recognises that effective CPD is a commitment to professionalism, showing that you have taken personal responsibility for ensuring that you have the skills and knowledge necessary to meet the challenges of an ever changing world.

As part of this year’s Growing Gloucestershire Conference we also presented the awards for the University of Gloucestershire’s BUG Business Planning Competition.
The competition is run to encourage entrepreneurial behaviour in people and is open to all of the university’s staff, students and alumni (graduated within 5 years).
